Due to the nature of online counseling I can not provide services for the following issues:

  • Suicide Prevention
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Any issue involving harm to yourself or others
  • Counseling to minors under the age of 8

    • In-Person: 8:30 am-4:30 pm at 240 Grand Ave West (across from Chatham Burger)
  • Emergency psychiatric Assessment can be accessed at both campuses of Chatham Kent Health Alliance (Chatham and Wallaceburg) through the Emergency Department.
  • Dial 911 for emergencies, ex. Imminent suicidal threat, social threat, suicide attempt, or expression of severe psychiatric symptoms.   Chatham-Kent is very fortunate to have the Help Mobile Crisis Team consisting of a specially trained police officer (plain-clothed) along with a crisis trained psychiatric nurse, they respond to mental health calls during the weekday business hours. Outside of those hours, a number of our front line/patrol officers are specially trained in assisting with calls that involve a person with mental difficulties.
